“Creating Commons - The Tasks Ahead in Unlocking IP” Conference, is at UNSW on Monday 10 - Tuesday 11 July 2006. It has a very good, and very full, programme - see Program - with excellent international speakers and 6 different sessions each day, ranging from the national dimension of commons, to critiques of licensing solutions, to fair use and TPM, and to the use of open content licensing in government and in education.
Registrations are already high, so there will be the opportunity to meet a lot of people from industry, education and government who do not attend the usual IP conferences. And of course a very nice Thai conference dinner, and a ‘champagne farewell’ in the common room at University of New South Wales law school.
Register here. The rates are reasonable, with reduced registration fees for those in the educational sector and students.
